most of the mp3 players are recognized without installation cd itself. please answer me the following questions 1. are you using your mp3 player for the first time in your computer or you uninstalled the software and lost the cd .

No installation CD is required with the E250. I use Windows Media Player to catalog my music and load it to my MP3 player. It works pretty well with the
Sansa.
You need to use the Sansa Media converter. It was on the installation disk.
