I have a samsung hln5065wx/axx it has a black and white pitcher some times it will freez up a look like a xray pitcher

XRays ARE black! So if you changed your color to black, everything will be in black-and-white. No damage has been done - just change back to 'default colors' Good luck!

The tv is making loud noises like humming or motor noises and tv have strange colors flashes or black and white backgrond flashes.The tv Colors wheel it is dying and not spinning the right speed of it RMP speed any more.The tv colors wheel must have be replaced to solved this problems.Have no mechanicals skills hire a tv tech. to change the tv colors wheel because u have to take out alot of mechanical parts out before u can come to the tv colors wheel itself to replace it.

Bad Color Wheel, its located behind the Lamp Pull Lamp out and use a Flash Light You should be able to see it.

check the lamp, that'd be the first thing to check.

Hi,Yes your problem sounds like the DMD board.This is how it works: http://electronics.howstuffworks.com/dlp1.htm Basically the light of the lamp goes through a tunnel that carries a color wheel(rotating disc with a gamma of colors that creates the colors on your tv)then the light of the lamp goes through the DMD board which is a chip composed of around 2 million pixels that creates the images and colors.When it starts to fail it will create black bars,pixelation,color distortion or white dots on screens. yes this could be a board issue

if image freezes,dmd board or the main board has failed.

You need to take out the DMD bord and open it up then remove the DLP Chip very carefully and blow out under the chip and all the components in the box with dry air something with a dryer on it then reassemble the chip on to the bord and make sure that the three screws that holds the mount that houses the chip are snug then you will need to put the Bord back in and have someone Else watch the pitcher so you can center the pitcher. This happened to me with my samsung tv and ran across this in sum service notes for this problem. Hope this helps

It's most likely the digital board, Samsung p/n# Bp94-00385a but I'd trace test both the digital and analog first before blindly replacing it - too costly to just guess..
