The screen My SanDisk Sansa c240 Mp3 Player turns on but only the Sandisk screen comes up and then it stays there and it wont let me play any songs or go anywhere else all i can see is the Sandisk screen I just uploaded some songs and then restarted my mp3 and thats when it froze to the screen.please help.

If your Sansa player is freezing, not charging or not turning on, the first thing to try is a reset of the unit. This will normally clear any temporary condition that may cause the player to freeze or not shut off completely, it's a bit like when your PC crashes and you need to re-start it to clear the error.

The software/firmware of the player is going to need to be updated. You can download the latest drivers from the sandisk website so pc recognizes it, then download the software/firmware update and transfer it to the player

Use the same version of windows that you used to put the songs on with to edit them.

Its real easy. Open the Sandisk from "My Computer" then just copy the songs from there. Similar with Copy and Paste from one file to another. Click CTRL C to the file you want to copy then put it inside the Sandisk folder CTRL V. That should do it!

Only 2 suggestions here: 1) Make sure your HOLD switch is not enabled. 2) Try to update the firmware If neither of these work, time to send the unit back to Sandisk
