One bad lead will cause your computer to shut down or continue in a cycle
replace all the leads that attach to your hard drive including electrical extensions + IDE,SATA and the ones that attach from your motherboard to your hard drive
hope this helps

Monitor turns on then goes off

Hi stella,
old monitor. 2007 CCFL , most are dead NOW !
if the PC (not told) fails he monitor shows and error. "no signal" or no connection then warns you going to sleep or to power saver mode.
all do that, at PC Deathh. (VGA or DVI dead at PC out)
the PC and the monitor have power lights that go dead or change color or blink and all that matters first. did they fail? 1 or both.
if LCD dims or dies dead, the and PC fans heard to spin and all power LED show normal actions.
he CCFL tubes are dead ,as all did long agol
seems to me your ran for 7 years, and at 20,000 hours the tubes CCFL black lamps are dead. or dim or intermittent
some work only in a warm room, not cold
page 54 (means CCFL tubes dead)
Agency Regulatory Notices
C-2User's Guide
Materials Disposal
This HP product contains mercury in the fluorescent lamp in the display LCD (CCFL)

7 years is a good run
now buy new LCD with LED, 2011 and newer,
2010 is change over year, toss coin,or avoid them. and all older are no good.

My monitor is HANNS G JC 171 D and I have a problem with it. Constantly includes automatic adjustment of monitor and menu buttons on the monitor does not react. This problem was gone until yesterday.

Hi there,

Click Start - Run - Type temp - Try to delete most of the temp files from the folder
Click Stat - Run - Type %temp% - Try to delete most of the temp files
Click Start - Run - msconfig - services - hide all microsoft services - disable rest of the services - apply - ok - restart computer

This should resolve the issue, else restart computer and start tapping F8 o keybaord. You will get a black window Advanced Boot Menu. Select Last Known Good Configuration and hiot Enter.
It must restart the computer.

Please share the result.

Dead Creative Zen M

Usually this problem is due to the firmware. When the firmware is updated to version 1.62.02, this problem usually will be corrected. The older firmwares have problems in recognizing the battery and allowing the battery to power the unit.

You will need a wall/AC charger for the operation. Plug in the wall charger and USB cable at the same time. Your Zen should power on when connected to direct AC power via the wall charger. Once it is powered on, connect the USB cable to your computer. Then begin the firmware download.

If your Zen does not power on when connected to the wall charger, your unit is dead and its time to replace it or get the motherboard replaced via one of the Repair services offered on this website.

If the upgrade button on the firmware window is not available, it is also time to replace your motherboard due to corruption of a chip on the board.

Compaq Monitor FS7600e - 17" monitoor

the -ve ground voltage decreased when u saw the screen goes white.if it flash too much then may be the front phosphorus coating burn due to excess whiteness suddenly. if that is ok then check the the G1 voltage , they are in excess, follow the track and replace the components after checking. also check the heater voltage and screen voltage (G2) ( do not touch the G2 voltage without insulation. they must be between 500-1000 volts. if they are disappears then check the EHT transformer. if the problem still prisist then inform me, i will guide u step by step.
