The Amana ARB2257csr, Mfg: PARB2257ZCSI, Sn: 10015125CV unit began to make clicking noises and freezer items began to thaw. Unplugged for more than 3 hours and unit began to cool/freeze again. Clicking began to be more often. Starter and capacitor was replaced. Unit working again but clicking noise continues. Icemaker Cutoff arm broke and will not cutoff water/ice flow & water supply has been turned off. Suggestions for repair??

The noise you hear is the ice maker trying to make ice without a water supply. Check the line to make sure you didn't knock anything loose or kink it when changing the filter, and check for a plugged line. It could be that there is ice build up in the line, a defrost will cure that.

See the post by lola77 with the same complaint. We have an Amana top/bottom freezer and are having the same problem and we've only had it 4 1/2 years. First service call available that the 1-800 number gave me was 3 days from now, which is ridiculous.

Generally, doors can be swapped side to side.  Look for some kind of plate where the hinges would be on the other side of the box from where you've got the door mounted now.  It may be covered with a plastic piece.  If you find it, you're in business.  A small socket set is all it usually takes.  Get help holding the door in position as you do the work.  Doors are heavy.

If water still continues going to the Ice Maker unplug the pair of wires on the back of the refrigerator that send water up to the ice maker. Now I see I am a little late answering your post, because I just happened to run across it. I was not here when you first posted the problem.
