Were can i find driver for my motherboard, is asus p4v8x-mx, and i have windows 7 ultimate Thanks

You can find drivers at the asus site. However, If you select "motherboards" from the "Windows7 supported product models" list on the left side of the page, you will find the p4v8x-mx is not listed. There are no W7 drivers available.

You can still find drivers for supported OSes with the search function on the page. Pick "motherboard" from the product drop-down menu, then pick "socket478" from select series. Pick your model from the "select models" menu, and finally choose the operating system.

If you want to upgrade your system to W7, you'll need a newer motherboard as well.

New sata harddisk not detected

The mother boards from that time you had to install the RAID drivers to use SATA drives. The drive disc which came with the mother board should have the drive, but I would suggest going to ASUS's web site and download the latest drivers. Click the link below, Select which OS (Operating System) you are using, Next click the little + box next to "IDE" and the drivers needed will be listed.
