Disconnect all storage devices, and stay "flat" with motherboard, CPU, memory and video chip (PCIE or onboard). Try to detcet and check up some warming on the chipset. Cold chips? Prepare your self for new motherboard, sorry! Try another PCIe graphics card at the end. Do you trust to your power supply.

I have an acer aspire 7736z laptop and the power doesn't turn on, I tried to remove battery nd plugging power supply then hold power button for 30 seconds and still nothing works

Bottom Line the manual says if the light to not come on when cord is bluged in battery out get a new motherboard. You may also hear a slight ticking like a clock tick.. The Issue is the U58 chip on bottom side of motherboard burns out. sometimes takes out U63, U59 and U64 are same corresponding chip and can fail as well at worst case... Usually just U58..it is a 4812 chip you can get for a few cents...I heard how ever if you replace U58 and think U59 with the U63 chip a 4800IC chip the issue goes away... Trying to confirm... Until I confirm recomend either new mother board or correct U58 chips 4812..mosfet n channel..

Computer wont boot after memory upgrade

when working on computers you have to be carefull to ground your self before touching the inside of them. when installing memory you dont need to unpluge everythinf just the main power cord on the back of it.the blinking green light means you have something no pluged in right, double check everything you unpluged make sure it back in the right areas.on memory the slots are mark 1,2,3,4
make sure if the memory is diffrent in speeds the lagger ons go first.the first to slots normally have to be the same speed and size ram.if that does not work let me know i can look into it for you.

Battery/docking station ac power

There is no manual way to switch from battery to AC, the machine or docking station should automatically switch between battery and AC. There is a power management chip inside the laptop that regulates the power and switches from battery to AC when plugged in. Some docking stations have a chip built into them to do this. Start by ruling out the power supply. Do this by undocking the laptop and plug it in using the power supply that is attached to the docking station and see if the machine is just running off of battery. If it is running off battery, then check the power supply with an ohm meter for the proper output. The output readings are on the supply. If you have two power supplies, and you know one works with the machine, try that supply on the docking station. If the power supply checks good, then I'm afraid the pm chip on the motherboard has gone out. You will need to take this in to have it professionally diagnosed, because it could be a replaceable component that works in conjunction with the pm chip. However, if it is the pm chip, then the motherboard will have to be replaced in order to fix it.

Intel d845hv board problems

This is not a problem with the wires. This is a failure of the motherboard and/or powersupply.

Try the following:

  1. Take any components that are not necessary to boot the computer1.gif. Try turning it on again
  2. Try taking all parts (motherboard, power supply) out of the case and then put them back in (I know that sounds weird, but it has worked twice for me before).
  3. If you get to this step, either the motherboard of power supply is shot. The easiest to try would be a power supply. Replace it if you have one laying around or borrow one out of another machine for troubleshooting purposes. This is assuming they are standard ATX power supplies.
  4. Place your finger on the heatsink for the chipset1.gif. Feel around for any extremely hot chips. If you find this, your Bios is shot. If you cannot locate the bios chip, just feel all the chips. The Bios chip should be mildly warm but never HOT!

Demo mode wont go away what do i do?

Hi i,m ken I am working on this problem, I found this tv has chip problems, start at the power supply ($100) and go from there. If the power supply checks out ok check the chips, there is a way to reset the chips, also disconnect any add ons to the tv, and try that. I was told you can remove the batteries from the remote press all the buttons and reset the chips, but they did not have good results! I will keep working on this. ken
