Ur tv have a problem known as a convergence picture problems it is dead.Tv have any colors lines R,G,B mis alignments,have colors shadows picture or 3D pictues look alike?Yes.The tv convergence board it dead have to be fix like replacing 2 STK convergence ICS and some or all of it resistors too.Fixed the convergence board to solved tv convergence picture problems.The tvs shops will cost u like $300-350 for parts and labors.

Most likely if you cant adjust the convergence then the convergence IC's are in need of replacement. Does the picute look like the one below? if so then these chips need replaced.

Projection TV sets need to have all three colors - RED - BLUE - GREEN - lined up correctly on the screen in order for the video to look normal. When its out of alignment the video will look 3D, wavy, distorted, etc. In some cases the TV will also not show any video. Most of the time you just need to adjust your convergence in the TV menu. • TV shuts off after powering on. Power light will blink. TV may also make a chirping noise.

Projection TV tubes have a liquid coolant that is used to keep them from overheating. After many years the coolant in the blue and green tubes will become cloudy and cause the screen to look dull, red/orange, etc. You may even see halos around images.

Here is a quick test....

Using your original remote go-to the settings menu then goto the convergence section.

Try to adjust the red and then the blue convergence.

You should be able to move RED and BLUE in all directions - up, down, left, and right. And you should be able to get the grid straight.

If you can't move them in all directions or cant move them far enough your convergence chips are bad and should be replaced. This is a common problem.

Note: If you TV has as flash focus or magic focus button only try pressing the button. If it fails to fix the convergence your need to fix it. See below for a fix

This is a common problem. Your convergence has gone out.

If the convergence is off more than 1/2 inch or so you can't adjust. you have a failure of hardware. most likely the output IC. This set has 2 outputs for convergence. Each output contains 3 circuits, Six circuits altogether 2 red ,2 blue and 2 green. The normal customer adjustment will only alow adjustment of blue and red. They should be converged onto the green. There is a much more complex adjustment in the service mode for Geometry and convergence. These adjustments are only needed when you replace a failed componnent like the output ic. These ICs have been upgraded several times since the production of this set. The latest and most powerfull version is STK394-160. If feel up to it I suggest changing both outputs and the corresponding output resistors. Then do a complete geometry and convergence alignment.

Yea, you have to have the two convergence Amp IC's replaced. Should run you about 300 bucks or so. Good Luck
