This is a Model # 42HDT50 Plasma that I got in H&R Store in 2006, But Now the plasma TV is not Presenting The Video , it does all the functions like ON and OFF and the channels UP and Down with the AUDIO OK, but the VIDEO is no showing and is blinking with a red striper intermitten going on. Would you be able to help me out please. Thank you

Hi, the ysus board on the left side looking from the rear of the plasma has blownup, this is a very common problem with 42PD380TA, if the unit is under warranty you are lucky otherwise hitachi charge alot of mooney for service kit.

I have seen 7 hitachi plasmas in 3 months all with the same fault.
HITACHI dont accept there is a production Fault

IF THE LINE IS ABOUT 1INCH WIDE THE CHANCES ARE IT WILLBE YOUR PLASMA DISPLY THAT HAS GONE . WOULD BR CHEAPER TO BUY A NEW UNIT . HOWEVER TRY RINGING HITACHI EXPLAIN THE FAULT COMPLAIN THAT IT SHOULD OF LASTED LONGER THAN THE WARANTY AND SEE WHAT THEY WILL DO ABOUT IT
