Your handset can become fully locked due to exceeding the number of attempts
to enter the correct unlock code. The type of handset you have will determine
what process to follow to see if the handset can be unlocked. If your handset appears with a Code Error
or does not unlock with the first or second attempt, you will need to call
Customer Service to confirm the code. Once the handset is fully locked it will
require manually unlocking from Optus and your handset will need to be sent
away.
1
Insert SIM N.B. Can be unlocked with SIM removed from handset however there is a 5 second time limit
2
Power phone on
3
Type: #pw+15 digit code+1 (where '15 digit code' is the unlock code)
4
Press Hash (#) - SIM Restriction OFF will display on screen for one second
Troubleshooting:
If the unlock code is incorrect the phone will display the message 'Code Error'
If the user tries to unlock a phone which does not have SIM Lock activated the phone will display the message 'SIM was not restricted'
If the syntax (#pw+) is incorrect when entering the unlock code - nothing will happen.
Hi, regarding the text messages, the problem is from the Service Operator. Have you tried the Sim card on another phone? If not, remove the Sim card, insert it on another phone and try sending a message from another mobile to you number, or you can do it in vise- versa by inserting another Sim card on your mobile.
If you can't receive text messages even when it's inserted on another handset, then you will need to call the customer care of your Network Operator and tell them your problem, they will help you fix it immediately.
You can check the message center number, but I don't think it's very much important in your case, well, if you wanna try, just check the text message settings and verify that the message center number (which is currently in use) is the same number which is on another phone with the same network (the other Sim should be of the same network in your area). If it's different, make the changes and save the settings. Also disable the "Receive Via" or similar settings.. (I can't recollect the exact settings as i don't have the same model with me, please excuse me for this.).
If the same Sim card doesn't receive text messages using another handset, don't bother to change the settings or to make any changes with it, first call the customer care and verify from them, you may make mistakes instead of fixing it.
Hi, issues like this are related to your Sim card (network), not your Cell Phone . In most cases, regarding Sim card problem is from the Service Operator. Have you tried the Sim card on another phone? If not,
remove the Sim card, insert it on another phone. or you can do it in vise- versa by inserting another Sim card on your mobile.

If the same Sim card doesn't not work on another handset, don't bother to change the settings or to make any changes with it, first call the customer care and verify from them, you may make mistakes instead of fixing it.
I hope you can receive text sms. We have never come across sending and receiving text messages problems related to handset. If you can receive, then you can send them, except your messages settings. I don't understand when you say "Warid" anyway, if you haven't reset the phone to it's factory default, please do it now using the code 12345 (i hope you haven't changed it, if so, use your code). Go to settings > Restore factory > Ok and enter the code 12345 when you are prompted. Your phone will automatically restart after it is reset. Now try sending a text message once again. If this doesn't help, then follow the instructions below;
Go to Messaging > Options >settings > text message > message center (note the message center in use as soon as you open the "text message") then highlight the message center name which is in use, select it and check the center number (you'll need to refer to another sim card's message center with the same service operator).
[also set "reply via..." as "no" and "delivery.." as "maximum..."]
If it's different, then make the changes and save it. Now restart your phone and try sending the text message again. If the problem still persists, it's from the service provider, call the customer care of your network operator and tell them your problem, they'll help you fix it.
