Question about Lands Phones

I have a Comdial Edge 120. When a call is transferred to an extension and is not picked up at that extension within a certain period of time, it goes to that extensions voicemail instead of bouncing back to the person who transferred the call. How do I get it to bounce back to the person who transferred the call in the first place?

I'm not familiar wiht Edge terminology, but the idea is you set the transfer recall time to something less than the call forward to voicemail. It means that any calls to voicemail have to be direct transfers and there may be some auto attendant issues.

My calls go directly to voicemail on edge 120


Normally when calls go directly go to voicemail, there are a couple things why this happens:

- Extension are unavailable/busy
- Call forwarding/Do Not Disturb are on.

If you do have call forwarding/Do Not Disturb on, please consult your user's manual for detail instructions since there are several options for call forwarding (Forward All Calls, Forward Busy, Forward N/A, etc.).

There should be a voicemail/Vmail button on the phone. From there, you dial in the extension and password.

Need to know how to change time on Comdial GCA70-281


  1. Programming the time and date for a Comdial Impact digital phone system must be done from the attendant's station, usually the phone located closest to the Comdial controller. Go to this station before attempting to change the time.
  2. Step 2 set-clock_thumb.jpg Now the phone system's clock is ready to be reset. Without picking up the handset, press the "Intercom" button on the phone. Dial * # 0 1. The digital display2.gif should read "Set Clock"
  3. Step 3 Set the year by dialing two digits (00-99)
  4. Step 4 Set the month by dialing two digits (01-12)
  5. Step 5 Set the day by dialing two digits (01-31)
  6. Step 6 Set the hour by dialing two digits (01-23)
  7. Step 7 Set the minutes by dialing two digits (00-59)

How to transfer calls between extensions


You have the ability to transfer an outside call to any extension within your phone system.
1. Press the [TRNSFR] button during your conversation
2. Dial the desired extension or press one of the Direct Station Select (DSS) buttons
3. One ring will be audible a transfer is successful. Otherwise, two rings will be heard
4. Any extension can pick call transfer
5. The Call Transfer mode will automatically cancel after 10 seconds if no transfer number is dialed

How to establish extensions?


The extensions start at 10 , and if you press the speaker button and hold it for a second or two it will show the extension number in the LCD display . If you do not have any phones with a display you have to find it by pressing the intercom button and try dialing the extensions one by one .

This will fix your issue

Do this:

Feature # *
Hit # (8) times
Hit show
Enter 04-05-101~156 (101~156 is whatever extension number you are trying to change)
Press chg
Use the keypad to change the name pressing # after each letter
When you are done entering the name make sure you press # after the last letter or it won't show
pick up and hang up the handset

DONE
