I have a rockford fosgate radio in my vehicle. I want to change the radio station but when i press the button to tune my staioin it just scans all the way through all the stations. How do i get it so i can stop on specific stations?

To use the radio function on your Nelsonic Clock Radio model NLC 608A, please follow these steps:

1. Make sure the clock radio is plugged into an electrical outlet and turned on.
2. Press the "Radio" button to turn on the radio function. The display should show the current radio frequency.
3. Use the "Tune +" and "Tune -" buttons to tune to the desired radio station. You can also hold down these buttons to automatically scan through the available stations.
4. Adjust the volume using the "Volume +" and "Volume -" buttons.
5. To switch between AM and FM radio, press the "Band" button.
6. If you want to save a radio station as a preset, tune to the desired station and then press and hold one of the numbered preset buttons (1-10) until you hear a beep. You can then access the saved station by pressing the corresponding preset button.
7. To turn off the radio, press the "Radio" button again or simply turn off the clock radio.

FM radio settings
Note: You can only see the FM radio settings when you have selected ‘FM’ as the radio source.
FM stereo option
You can choose between stereo or mono reception when listening to FM radio. Mono may improve
clarity where stereo signals are weak.
To change between Stereo or Mono reception:
1. Press the Menu button.
2. Turn and press the Select dial to choose ‘Audio Setting’.
3. Select between ‘Stereo Allowed’ or ‘Forced Mono’.
FM scan
You can choose whether your Elan E3 automatically stops at the next available FM station or the next
available FM station with a strong signal when scanning for an FM station. To change the FM scan
setting:
1. Press the Menu button.
2. Turn and press the Select dial to choose ‘Scan Setting’.
3. Select between ‘Strong Stations Only’ or ‘All Stations’.

DAB settings
Note: You can only see the DAB settings when you have selected ‘DAB’ as the radio source.
Full scan
You can use the ‘Full Scan’ (autotune) function to automatically scan for new digital radio stations and
remove inactive ones.
To carry out an autotune:
1. Press the Menu button.
2. Turn and press the Select dial to choose ‘Full Scan’.The number of stations found will be
displayed during the autotune.
When the autotune has finished, your Elan E3 will tune to the last station that you were listening to. If the
last station you were listening to is no longer available, your Elan E3 will tune into the first station in the
alphabetical list.
Manual tuning
To manually check the signal strength of a known channel:
1. Press the Menu button.
2. Turn and press the Select dial to choose ‘Manual tune’.
3. Turn and press the Select dial to choose the channels.

You put in your vehicle specifics... and what you are trying to accomplish... a lot of AFTER-MARKET radio opportunities present...

In my case MY STOCK RADIO NAVIGATION SYSTEM... touch-screen VIDEO... w/THX (theater sound) was already pretty nice...

Selecting the AM or FM frequency band

Push the "AM" or "FM1/FM2" button to select the desired frequency band. Pushing the "FM1/FM2" button more than once will alternate between FM1 and FM2. These functions are used with the station memory buttons described under How to tune radio stations.

HOW to tune radio stations

There are four ways for you to tune in a particular station. You can use the "TUNE", "SEEK", 'SCAN"or memory buttons.

• Using the "TUNE" function: You can change the frequency up or down one increment at a time by Pressing and releasing either the left (< arrow/up) or - right (> arrow/down) side of the "TUNE" or "TUNE DISCS" button. To change frequencies quickly, press and hold down either the right or left side of the button.

Manual tuning adjusts your radio to any allowable broadcast frequency, whether or not a station is present on that frequency. (See All About Radio Frequencies in this section.)

• Using the "SEEK" function: Press the right *) side of the "SEEK" button to select the next listenable station up the frequency band. Press the left (.4) side of the button to select the next listenable station down the frequency band. By holding the button down, listenable stations can be passed over to reach the desired station. Pressing the "SCAN" button will begin the scan mode up the frequency band, stopping on each listenable station for approximately five seconds. To stop the scan mode on the presently sampled station, press the "SCAN" button again.

Setting the station MEMORY PRESET buttons: Your radio is equipped with 6 station memory buttons. These buttons can be used to select up to 6 preset AM stations and 12 FM stations (6 in FMI and 6 in FM2)

1. Select a band, then select a frequency.

2. Press one of the memory buttons and hold until the sound returns and the lamp above the memory button lights up. That
memory button is now set.

3. Follow the above steps for each memory preset button.

NOTE: Custom memory presets can be recalled using the keyless entry system. See Memory Profile System in the Features chapter.

Using the Automatic Memory Store feature ("AUTOSET"): If the memory buttons have been set, either by using the Auto Memory Load feature or if you have set them manually, the system is prepared tolet you use a convenient feature called Automatic Memory Store.

With Auto Memory Store, you can continually set strong stations into your memory buttons without losing your originally set stations. Your radio will automatically set your memory buttons to the strong local stations.

Activate Auto Memory Store by pushing the "AUTOSET" button once. Your radio will set the first six strong stations of the band you are in (AM, FMI or FM2) into the memory buttons. The display will flash "AUTO" and display the autoset icon "A" while the stations are being set in the memory buttons.

NOTE: If there are less than six strong stations in the frequency band, the remaining unfilled buttons will store the last strong station detected on the band. After all stations have been filled, the radio will begin playing the station stored on memory button 1.

To deactivate the Auto Memory Store mode and return to the manually-set memory button stations, simply push the "AUTOSET" button. Display will show "AUTO" then "OFF". The next time Auto Memory Store is activated on that band, the radio will store the next set of six strong stations.

Press RADIO BAND.AUTO PRESET until the band you want appears in the display (direct power on). Each time you press this button, the indication changes as "FM" --> "AM". Hold down TUNE + or --, until the frequency digit begins to change in the display. The player automatically scans the radio frequencies and stops when it finds a clear station. If you can't tuned in a station, press the button repeatedly to change the frequency step by step. If FM broadcast is noisy, press "MODE" until "Mono" appears on the display and the radio will play in monatural without any noise. Only strong FM signals can be decoded to stereo. OK.

turn on radio, press clock button so time is displayed, press mem, then turn the tuning knob to set hours and minutes, press mem again and your done.

if it plays through a radio station, then try changing the station to one that has no play or noise.

some decks save different settings on different sources. Make sure that the bass settings are not up higher on the radio sources and lower on the CD sources.

iv'e never seen a radio that can scane 0.1 they usually go 0.2. Normally headunits will scan if you hodl down the next button for a second. If you press it real quick it will go up .2 instead of scanning. However some don't, hope this helps.
