You need to download and reinstall sound card drivers for your laptop.
Here is sound driver download page from Toshiba.

Here is general drivers download page for your model
If the links above do not work, start from here, select your model, then chose download and select the appropriate driver.

I cannot charg the battery I have toshiba satellite laptop A75-S206 ; and i can,t charg the battery tanks @ regard

Borrow a different 19V charger from a friend see if its just your charger if not then the DC jack most likely is damaged common issue with Toshiba and Acers. Good thing is Toshiba does not solder the DC jack it fits in a sleeve and plugs into the board.The Dc jack should run you around $5-$15 dollars the repair is a tare down to the boards right corner. Look on utube for "A75 tare down" should be a video floating around show you where the screws are. Shop would charge right around $100-$125 dollars if more they are ripping you off.

My DVD drive on my Toshiba Satellite A75 S206 isn't recongized

I was able to find this by insomniac on CDROM Guide:
You don't need drivers for optical devices (CD and DVD drives) as Windows has native support for them.

It sounds like a corrupt Registry entry, which is common with XP.

The following should fix it.

Start Registry Editor (Start, Run and type in regedit then click O.K)

Locate the UpperFilters value under the following key in the registry:

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Contro l\Class\{4D36E965-E325-11CE-BFC1-08002BE10318}

On the Edit menu, click Delete, and then click OK.

Locate the LowerFilters value under the same key in the registry:

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Contro l\Class\{4D36E965-E325-11CE-BFC1-08002BE10318}

On the Edit menu, click Delete, and then click OK.

Quit Registry Editor.

NOTE: After you remove the Upperfilters value and the Lowerfilters value, if you notice lost functionality in a particular program, such as CD recording software, you may need to reinstall that software.

Toshiba laptop sound

If you are using media player to listen to your audio files then go to 'view' 'show enhancements' and make sure the graphic equaliser is set how you want it, while here click on 'default' and lots of options will come up on how you want to listen to your music.

hope this helps
