The anti tip bracket is installed along the baseboard area BEHIND the range, so that one of the rear feet on the appliance will slide into it when pushed against the wall. Once installed, the rear foot of the range is slid into the bracket, holding the rear foot to the floor. This effectively prevents the range from tipping forward.

Installation instructions are included on page 3 of the Installation Manual that came with the appliance. If you no longer have a copy, you can obtain a replacement at managemylife.com. Just enter your model number under their "Manuals" link and you will find it listed in .pdf (Adobe) format. You can download or print a copy for FREE. For your convenience, here's a direct link:

Figure 3 shows an excellent illustration of how the bracket is to be installed.

I'm trying to remove my built in viking fridge, is there any easy way to do it , its stuck.

It's likely screwed down. You will either see some screws at the front top of the refrigerator that are screwed into the countertop above or an anti tip bracket in the rear that you can't see. If you don't see any screws attaching it to the countertop, try shoving is back towards the wall and the tipping it forward. That should remove it from the anti tip bracket, if installed.

Need instructions on how to change the lifters in my 1998 Chevy S10 2.2L

Please don't forget to rate!!!!

2.2L Engine When installing new lifters, a pre-lube should always be applied to the lifter body. It is also a good idea to prime hydraulic lifters by submerging them in clean engine oil and depressing the plunger using an old pushrod. This allows the internal components of the hydraulic lifter to coat with oil before initial operation in the engine. All lifters should be replaced when a new camshaft is installed.
If any valve train components (lifters, pushrods, rocker arms) are to be reused, they must be tagged or arranged during removal to assure installation in their original locations.
  1. Remove the rocker arm cover.
  2. Remove the cylinder head assembly from the engine.
  3. Remove the bolts retaining the lifter anti-rotation brackets, then remove the brackets.
  4. Remove the hydraulic roller lifters from the bores.
  5. Inspect the lifter and lifter bore for wear and scuffing. Examine the roller for freedom of movement and/or flat spots on the roller surface.

a298166.gif
Use a lifter removal tool to remove the lifters from the bore

To install:
If installing a new lifter, coat the lifter body with a suitable camshaft pre-lube
  1. Install each hydraulic lifter to its bore being careful to align the flat sides (top) of the lifters with the flat sides of the anti-rotation brackets. When properly installed the flat sides of each lifter are aligned parallel to the anti-rotation bracket. The roller at the bottom of the lifter is parallel to the camshaft lobe.
Make sure to properly align and install each lifter as improper installation of the lifters or brackets could result in engine damage.
  1. Install the anti-rotation bracket retaining bolts and tighten to 97 inch lbs. (11 Nm).
  2. Install the cylinder head.
  3. Install the rocker arm cover.

Oven anti-tip bracket

Hi Jodie,

The anti-tip kits are installed on the floor behind the oven. They're installed BEFORE the oven is moved into place. They are "U"-shaped and when the oven is slid into place, the "U" locks into the back legs of the oven to lock it down.

You can tell if yours is so equipped by simply sliding the oven out away from the wall about 10 inches then looking behind it on the floor. Slide the oven out by opening the door about 5" and place your hands inside... then lift and pull toward you at the same time.

Here is the anti-tip kit for yours... If you see this down there, then you're good to go. If not, order both of those parts (in the previous link) 'cause you'll need them.

Hope this helps!

Anti-tip bracket for Amana ACF422GAW

screw in a piece of wood or metal that stickes out a little ways horizontally across the back of the stove. Screw another piece of wood or metal onto the wall a tad bit higher then the one on the stove. Now the stove can't tip over and it'll be easier to manuver into place.
