The anti tip bracket is installed along the baseboard area BEHIND the range, so that one of the rear feet on the appliance will slide into it when pushed against the wall. Once installed, the rear foot of the range is slid into the bracket, holding the rear foot to the floor. This effectively prevents the range from tipping forward.
Installation instructions are included on page 3 of the Installation Manual that came with the appliance. If you no longer have a copy, you can obtain a replacement at managemylife.com.
