I inherited a Worcester Highflow 3.5 GC 41-311-39. The motor for the diverter has failed, so I can only get hot water by turning on the tap, then switching on the hot water on the boiler and heling the motor. I'm unable to find a manual/part number and would prefer to replace the motor only rather than having to drain everything - the boiler is in the garage and lower than every radiator - about 14 in all! Any suggestions on part numbers and procedure? It looks like front & side panels off then a flat screwdriver will get it. Thanks, in advance. Robin, Blackburn Lancashire (UK)

It may well be a honey well which you can just change the motor . The top cover should come off 1 screw holding it and lift off you should see the motor there . Most plumbing and heating shops will stock replacement motors .

SOURCE: worcester combi gas boiler 3.5 highflow is

water vapour is one the main products of combustion of gas. With a standard efficiency boiler, upon initial heat up when the flue is cold this vapour can condensate on the inner wall of the flue but should stop once the flue heats up, to stop this condense dripping back on to the heat exchanger the flue should be tilted towards the outlet and thus on initial heat up water can drip from the flue. with high efficiency (condensing) boilers, condensation will occur in the flue and secondary heat exchanger during normal operation, dispense of this condensate is accommodated for in the boiler and therefor the flue should be tilted towards the boiler, if not the flue will drip constantly.

I have worcester 24cd1 and no hot water but heating works fine, was told it could be the thermocouple??

No. this will be the diverter valve and the large rubber diaphragm inside split,, holed or just worn out. Replace
Confirm by operating a hot tap with the heat NOT on.
Do you hear the gas valve click. If not confirmed

Worcester 24i combi when in shower hot water flicks on and off can hear gas igniting and extinguishing

This is lack of water flow through the diverter valve.

First have you got a good flow from any cold tap? If yes then see below

If I remember there is a pipe carrying cold mains crossing the lower front of the boiler with an in line filter usually clogged. Remove clean & replace
check also any filter in rising mains to boiler

another cause is the diverter valve itself - diaphram inside may be punctured/split
