Vizio L32 picture too dark

Have a Vizio L32, bought from Costco 1.5 yrs ago, where the picture is too dark. For the cable, the screen is black. For the DVD, the picture is vaguely there and changes in intensity from black to barely viewable. Any suggestions?

    Hmm, I have found a replacement power board online. Have not looked for other boards, though noted a plea for a logic board, so assume they are not generally available.

    my vizio flat screen (about 5 yrs old) has no picture all the sudden.its just black.has the bulb went out?is this fixable?

My Vizio LCD TV screen fades to dark. Sound stays on.
I w having this same issue when watching a Blu-Ray disc. I found it to be dependent upon what picture mode the TV was set to. By this I mean certain picture modes would cause the TV to dim during dark scenes of a movie. Changing the picture mode helped a lot.

My Vizio L32 periodically turns itself off, multiple time a day.
My 42" and 32" started doing that, I bought it form Costco, they set me up with Vizio under warrarnty. A tech came out and changed out the circuit boards, but the problem persisted, they are now going to send me a reburbished replacement. I'm not Happy, they should send me a new non defective one(actually 2). I will not be buying any more Vizios!

Same problem, vizio 47" LCD TV, six month old
change out the LVDS cable (the cable that go from the control board to the main board) and it should resolve your problem. If your TV is still in warranty, call 1-877-MY-VIZIO and they will set up an in home repair for free.

The main board is bad. I have seen a lot of TV has the same problem like you have. Replace main board will fix it. If you bought these TV from Costco and less than 2 years then they all still under warranty.

Unfortunatley you can not get replacement parts for Vizio TV's. If purchased from Costco and you still have the receipt. then try and bring it back.

VIZIO BLACK SCREEN
That problem is the Ysus board, Sometimes people will replace the Zboard at the same time. If you bought it at costco a couple of years ago you are in luck costco will refund your purchase price, costco has changed the return policy and newer tv's are not refunded, but something to look into
