My Symphonic with BL6600F01013-1 circuit board (a Sylvania number)... was working and suddenly lost power. Plugging out, I hear a "thunk" and plugging in, I hear the same "thunk" but no audio or video. Used the remote and manually pressed the microswitch for on/off. Nothing.

Mine is exactly the same as pfers', "only standby power". I have it on a surge protector and nothing else connected to the surge protector was damaged by a "spike", so I doubt the solution is correct about a spike.
I had this happen once before and by turning off the power to it for a few minutes and then turning it back on, it worked again. This time, no dice.

Do you mean that the standby LED does not light up; but the set works fine? Of so, either the standby LED is damaged, or it do not get voltage [due to loose soldering or some other reason]. Anyway, the set works fine. Isn't it. It means that there is no other fault than this. Contact any service technician in this case; to find out the reason. Electro help
