If your fryer has the DP16 cordset, this might solve your problem. Otherwise, have you press the reset button. It's hard to find, but it is there.

Solution for fixing DP16 Cordset for GE deep fryers: To begin with, you willl need to clean the electrical contacts on both the fryer and the cordset. They will be burnt from electricity arcing between the two when the cord is plugged into an outlet before connecting to the deep fryer. I used a dremel tool attachement grinder used for sharpening chain saw chains. It is cylindrical and fits in the holes in the cordset perfectly. You could use sandpaper rolled into a small cylinder, or whatever is available that will do the job. To open the flaps that cover the holes, insert a toothpick in the center hole of the cordset while you work. Make sure that both sets of contacts are completely clean before proceeding with the next step. Next, using needle nose plyers, make two tight coils of fine or extra fine (.032") resin core solder the same size as the holes in the cordeset. Press into place in each of the holes in the cordset against the electrical contacts. Spread the coils a little so they cannot fall out when the cordset is not attached to the fryer because the flaps will likely not close properly or at all. You can work the coils down so the flaps will close if you use the .032 solder, but they will still be a little loose, so they might jam the flaps open or partially open. This definitly isn't a UL approved method, but it will fix the problem completely. Happy frying!

When I turn power on my acer aspire netbook the screen is black. The only light that lights up is the battery light. Do you know what is the problem and how can I fix it?

Have you tried turning it on using your adapter? If there is still no power light, try removing the power jack in the laptop and the power cable in the adapter and re-insert it both then plug it then test it again. If there is still no power light, try bending slowly the power jack cable in the laptop while inserted and slowly bend and move until you reach the power adapter. Observe the power light while bending the cable. If the light turns on while bending, the wire/s on the cable might be cut where you bend and see the power light turning on. If there's still no power light, your power adapter or the laptops power supply might be defective.

Thethe tv will not come on and power and theopc is flashing.

Ok This is how to troubleshoot the TV, there are lights on the front and you are mainly concerned with two of these lights (the power light and the OPC light). I) If non of the lights come on then this is a AC Power failure (There is a loose connection or you need to check the Power/Inverter unit or the Main unit) II) If the power light is blinking at a rate of one blink per min and the OPC light is off (then there is a CCFL backlight problem) III) If the power light is blinking at a rate of two times per min and the OPC light blinks at a rate of one time per min (13V/UR10V failure you need to check the Power/inverter board or the main board). IV) If the power light is blinking at a rate or two times per min and the OPC light blinks at a rate of two times per min (3.3V Main Failure check power/inverter board or Main board). V) If the power light is blinking at a rate or two times per min and the OPC light blinks at a rate of three times per min (UR6V failure check power/inverter board or Main board). VI) If the power light is blinking at a rate or two times per min and the OPC light blinks at a rate of Five times per min (Panel 5V failure check LCD control unit or control panel).

Indication of Router Lights:
  • Power light blinks. If LAN or WAN cable is plugged in, their respective lights will flash on activity.
  • Power light turns off for several seconds.
  • All lights, except power light, turn on and then off.
  • Power light blinks slowly, then faster, and WLAN light will turn on.

Some light on; some not

disconnect power supply from the router, wait for 30 seconds , and reconnet it back then check you get the power light.. if not try in a different power outlet..check the physical connection, the modem should be connected to internet slot in the router ,so that you would find the internet light lit up.., if still you do ont see the power light or the wlan light, reset your router, if you look at the back of your router, you would find a reset button, press and hold the reset button , with a pen on paper clip for 30 seconds with the power cable connected and disconnectc power and reconnect and then check..if still not the problem is with your router
