Hi Sally,

your best bet would be to contact the store where you purchased your monitor (if it is still under any kind of warranty) or contact Astro directly, many companies send replacements for these type of parts free of charge (Logitech for example).

Hope I could help you on this

We have lost the password for Linksys srw2008mp switch and would like to reset it to factory defaults we cannot get into it to reset it.

Hi,

To reset to factory Default settings you need to do the below steps

1. Look for the reset button. The reset button is a tiny black button on the back of the switch.
2. Power Off the switch.
3. Press the reset button (preferably with help of a ball point pen or a small head scew driver) keep the tiny black button pressed and do not release that.
4. Power On the switch and the sys LED will blink slowly and then rapidly. 5. Now release the black button
6. Wait for 5 minutes. The switch will boot up with factory default settings.

1999 Honda Civic 4 Door 80000 miles

Hi,

To my knowledge, the PCV valve for a 1999 Honda Civic fits into a socket on the block and a tube leads from a nipple on the PCV valve to the intake manifold. As posted here, "Chiltons repair manual ... says on the passenger side near the top of the crank case leading to the air intake. In other words open your hood look down where it says "HONDA" right above the spark plug wires come out and to the distributor cap. Look at the letter "H" then look above the about 1.5 inches then left about 4-5 inches you will see a black hose with a clamp on it curving to the right to a smaller metal tube leading to the black box about (8-9 inches) where your air filter goes to. That's where it's >suppose< to be,up top near the letter "H"."

Hope this be of initial help/idea. Pls post back how things turned up or should you need additional information.

Good luck and kind regards.

Cover card open when it's shut

This problem is caused by the little piece of plastic that you flip down to hold the XD card in place. It has a nipple sticking out of it that is prone to breaking off. Unfortunately, this nipple (about 1/16" x 1/8" x 1/8") holds down a little button which tells the camera that the the plastic piece has been flipped down. Once the nipple breaks off, you need to find some other way to hold the button down.

I simply took a small plastic peg from an old boardgame -- a cribbage-board peg might work -- and whittled it down to fit the opening. Remove the XD card and you'll see the small 1/16" x 1/8" rectangular opening. There's a tiny, squarish black button inside. Use a toothpick or tiny screwdriver to carefully press the button in while the camera is on, and you'll see the error message disappear.

Once you get the idea, use a tiny Phillips screwdriver to remove the plastic piece that you flip down. There are two screws to remove, two little metal retaining brackets and a tiny metal rod. Be careful not to lose any of these pieces! Then gradually whittle your piece of plastic so it fits the rectangular opening snugly, and consistently turns off the error message. Then cut it to about 1/8" in length, insert it into the opening, and reassemble the rod, brackets and screws to hold it in place.

Now the little button will always be pushed in and the camera will be functional once again. Since the XD card has its own spring-loaded "locking mechanism" (you push to insert and push to remove), the piece of plastic you flip down isn't really needed in the first place. You can save it, anyway, just for the memories....

TV plays color, dvd black and white

Hi,

If I understand your post/description, the DVD plays OK except it is in Black & White. If so, change setting from PAL to NTSC or vice versa depending on the region you are in. US operates on NTSC, Most of Europe is PAL.

Hope that this be of help/idea. Pls post back how things turned out or should you need additional information.

Good luck and kind regards.

62' Mitsubishi WD-62525 little black and white squares instead of picture but I have sound

Mitsubishi list this problem and has a solution of replacing several small surface mounted caps and diodes. we have tried this repair 5 times and only successfully done it once. so replacing what is called the formatter board part # 930B924002 for around $ 350.00 usually repairs this type of failure, However changing this board is a time consuming thing and takes a lot of Patience. It is buried deep in the set and several other board have to be removed just to get to it
