Get onlineand got to www.google.com In the google search box type: "HPSupport" (without the quotes and put your manufacturer name before Support). Look for downloads and drivers. Enter your model number and operatingsystem when requested. Download and install the Solution Center software. Most times it will be listed under software or applications on the drivers page.

that means your vga drivers are either not installed,installed but corrupted or wrong drivers are installed. so reistall the graphics drivers of your machine and all wouldbe fine.

if you can open your desktop..try to replace the ide cable of the DVD/Cdrom it might be deffective.before you open your pc just make sure that the power is off.after changing the ide cable of your dvd the system will automatically detect your drive.if you got same problem again try to consult your hardware vendor to claim your warranty parts and service.good luck
