The LCD panel will be more than the newn 47" TV, it is limited production part and hard to come by, you can contact www.shojimmy.com to get some ideas.

Sell the TV for parts.

Its better to go for a new tv rather than trying to replace the LCD panel. With the amount you pay for the LCD panel you can buy a new tv. Also it would be very difficult to find the exact LCD panel .

If your lcd appears broken when you turn it on if there are cracks visible, the cost to repair would be beyond the value of the tv. I have attached the retail price for a new screen from a Philips supplier.

47 inch phillips 1080p lcd tv screen cracked. my daughter was horsing around and water bottle hit screen resulting in a spiderweb crack...i still owe a great deal on tv. warranty will not cover this...

Wish i had good news for ya.

But a new LCD replacement panel will probably cost as much as a whole new tv.

Check your local online ads (Kijiji or Ebay or similar) and maybe you can find someone with the same model of tv that has some kind of circuit board problem but a good LCD panel. Maybe you could pick it up cheap and make one working tv out of the two broken ones.

Otherwise the tv is only worth a few bucks in spare parts if you can find someone who wants them.

I have a 47 inch sanyo lcd tv and the screen is broken in the lower right hand corner i want to know how much it will cost to fix and i dont want it will be cheaper to buy a new one

i have a 47" inch lcd sanyo t.v. and my kids accidentally shot it with an air-soft gun. and there is a crack where the pellet hit and there is also a crack running down that spot. Yes you could, but a new screen, though easy to install, is very hard to find, let alone for less than a new tv. It is most likely going to be way more efficient and cheaper buying a new/used unit.
