Random "mode flipping"

At random times while using the camera, the setting of the camera will randomly "flip" as if I was rotating the mode dial. On a number of occasions, the camera has settled on "play" mode and has to be turned off before it will be able to take pictures again. I have a 1 gig compact flash, but no memory stick. Is there anything I can do to try and fix this. The camera is more than a few years old and is owned by the DOC in Arizona.

One drop where? Through top of dial, between dial and indicator or through side of dial near the bottom? Also, what will this do. The dial already moves smoothly. Thank you

I need to know how to operate my GE 50462 timer switch

This timer cannot be programmed.
Timer has pre-set program to turn lights or appliances on-off at random times so home looks occupied. GE 7-Day Random Vacation Timer turns lamps or appliances on or off during late evening and early morning hours, confusing potential burglars.
Rotate dial clockwise until current day and time lines up with pointer, and plug in.

Use RAN# button to gnerate random numbers

The RAN# button generates a random number between 0 and 1.If you want to flip a coin, see whether the generated random number is less than 0.5. Alternatively, multiply by 2 and see whether the integer portion is 0 or 1.If you want to flip a die, multiply the generated random number by 6, add 1, and ignore the fractional portion. This will give you a number in the range 1 through 6. A similar method will allow you to generate random numbers in any range.

On this timer is the light color of time Day and the blue cover on time for night?

You posted under GE 7-day random vacation timer.
This timer shows 7 days of the week.
The nighttime hours are white with blue background.
Daytime hours are blue with white background.
Timer dial rotates clockwise, and make 1 revolution each week.
To set timer, manually rotate dial until current day and hour line up with 'time now' pointer.
Move slide switch to TIMER ON.
Timer randomly turns on-off at preset times.
To watch timer in action: turn lamp ON, plug lamp into timer, plug timer into outlet, and then manually rotate dial clockwise several rotations and watch lamp turn on-off.

Have model TE02DHB/TE22DHB. Setting random mode but I do not see any "RND" on screen after following directions for random mode.

http://waterheatertimer.org/pdf/TE02DHB-manual.pdf
Timer has to be programmed first with on and off times.

Manual says press FUNCTION and RND digits 'flash' on display
Then press set button
Then RND will appear on display.

Timer then uses your programmed on-off times, and randomly varies programmed on-off times in range from 2 to 30 minutes.
So if regular program says ON at 7, then random will vary ON time from 6:30 to 7:30, assuming timer functions as shown in manual and timer is not defective.

If above information does not work, then use circuit analyzer and check polarity of outlet.

Is there a way to put the device on shuffle mode?

  • There is a random setting rather than a shuffle mode. Same thing just a different name.
  • While in the play mode menu press "PREV/NEXT" to select the desired repeat mode ie.
  • Normal, Repeat One, Repeat All, Random, Random All, Preview.
  • You want to choose "Random" or Random All" depending on
  • Random - All music is played randomly until all songs have been heard.
  • Random All - All music will play randomly until you turn the MP3 player off.

  • Hope this helps and thank you for using FixYa.

How to use the random number generator on the calculator.

Hello,
To access the Random number generator, press [MENU], Use arrows to select [RUN] and press [EXE].
In [RUN] press [OPTN][F6:->] to pan to the right then press [F3:PROB] then [F4:RAND#]. The command echoes on the screen.
  1. Now if you press [EXE] a number between 0 and 1 is generated.
  2. Each time you press [EXE] a new number is generated.
Although it is not documented, I found out that if you enter RAND#(n) where n is an integer, it generates a number between (0 and n)

Hope it helps.

What is the code to enter for random play and/or background mode?

If it isn't a very early OMT then there is a switch on the right of the Credit Computer which says Continuous Play on it. Flip the switch and the machine will play random selections.
