Flickering Pixels on Plasma

I've had this TV for about 5 months and have began to notice an area on the left side of the screen where the pixels flicker (kind of looks like static on top of the picture) when on lighter colors. It mostly happends when viewing HD programing. Do you have any idea's why this is happening? FYI...this is a referb bought online.

found the ribbon cable giving me the bad pic - i think a good cleaning of the cable/connection will do the trick... What do you suggest to clean?

It depends on the size, location and how many dead pixels. If remember less that 5 they won't do nothing about them. Call the warranty people and find out. they will for the location, size of pixel and quantities. Good luck to you.

Plasma tv

this happens because of panel conditioning. as the panel ages it requires different voltages to produce the picture.it takes about 1000 hrs before it has conditioned. it is a simple adjustment a tech can do for you. when this adjustment is made no other adjustment will be needed for this problem.

Plasma TV PS-42Q7HX/XSJ

hey, i had this problem with a CRT television once. My subwoofer would cause the same issue in that TV. There is a rather large magnet in the subwoofer that creates a field that will mess your TV up if it's too close to it. not sure if the same applies to the plasma, but i'd definately move it more than 5 feet away from the screen. sometimes it takes 24hrs or so for the tv to repair itself after doing so. hope this helps.

Samsung plasma PS42D5S

You need to adjust the panel voltages, adjust the VS voltage to around 186 volts, if that doesn't change it then adjust the V-Scan voltage down, turn the unit on and apply a video source to it, and while adjusting the voltages look at the screen and you should be abe to watch the video noise fade out.
