4317943,i looked it up it says that this is the ice maker for your machine,do you know that it comes with different harnesses,or take off the old harness and put it on the new ice maker,it does have 4 wires on each harness,i just called sears for you and the guy i talked with says that's the ice maker for your machine and there's no substitutes for it,that should be your ice maker
Thanks! Unfortunately I threw the original ice maker away when I got the replacement. However based on your answer I did a search of Sears parts and found the link below. The diagram shows a 6 pin connector going into the freezer which splits off at the unit. I could get the harness but my next question would be how do I wire it to the 4317943?

call sears and give them the part number of the harness and ask them what ice maker does that harness go to and then ask them if that ice maker will fit into your machine,it doesn't have to be the original ice maker,i use whirlpool ice makers in sub zero machines or ask them what ice maker comes with a 6 pin connector,as long as the fill cup is at the same end and has the connector you need that's all that matters, they all mount the same on the wall.i talked to sears and they said the ice maker you have is the correct one,i don't understand why they couldn't answer my question, when i go to work today i'll look into it for you
hi,how did you make out,did you get the ice maker in your machine?
good deal,i asked them that the other night and sears told me that there was no substitutes for your machine, you think they'd give you the parts for free after all the trouble you've been through for an ice maker,at least it's not alot of money, good luck and if you could let me know how you make out, have a good night
Hi again. The wire harness arrived on Friday and it wasn't even close to what I needed. What they sent me was a central wiring harness for the entire fridge. It's about 6 feet long and has 12 different plugs on it, none of which would fit the ice maker if I cut it all up to make a single harness. Looking at searspartsdirect.com it now says that the wire harness I need is no longer available. Oh, and that I can't return the one they sent me. So I’ve got that going for me, which is nice. In the end I still have a fridge in need of an ice maker. I won't be giving Sears any more of my business so do you or anyone know of an icemaker from another manufacturer that I can use as a substitute?
one end connects the the ice maker and the other end has a 6 pin connector, the connectors i've seen are four pinned, can you send a picture and show me where the 6 pin connector goes

Thanks Salde! Yeah, I learned my lesson and won't be throwing away the old parts until I know I have the correct one.
i emailed a few people and they say the harness is no longer available,my guy couldn't help either so i don't know where you can get the harness, write to whirlpool and see if they can do anything for you or buy a few bags of ice or trays, wish i had better news for you
OK. Thanks for your help, I really appreciate it!

I called them and they said that the harness part number 2203760 is the correct one, but doesn't come with the replacement ice maker part# 4317943. Since I got my fridge the ice maker has been substitued. However according to them, I have the right ice maker unit and all I need is the harness and I should be good to go. I'll let you know how it turns out.
I talked to a support person and they said I have the correct ice maker unit now and just need the different wire harness and I should be good to go. They couldn’t explain the difference between the four wire harness and the 6 wire harness though. All they could say is since the time I got my fridge and now there had been a substitution. At any rate i ordered the part. Right now I'm just happy to have made some progress and am encouraged that I may soon have a working ice maker again.
