Kenmore wall oven digital screen is blinking F7? it has a digital button screen. i can clear it but it comes on again a minute later. no other buttons work?

The F7 error code means that a key on the touchpad has shorted and the touchpad needs to be replaced... sometimes it's a electronic anaomily, since you have pushed Clear/off and the F7 returns it surly means that touchpad is bad.

It's most likely that the error code you are seeing is F1, not F7. F1 is a code for 'stuck touch pad'. You will need to replace the clock/ERC or the touch pad (or both).

Kenmore recommends this:

The display of your control is flashing "F" followed by a number or letter. Oven malfunction. Press the CLEAR/OFF pad. Let the oven cool for 1 hour and place the oven back into an oven operation. If the problem repeats, call for service. 1-800-4-My-Home.

There is a probelm with the control panel. You can fix it for about a penny. The panel has a printed ribbon cable that plugs into the relay board. The ribbon cable is actually two cables pressed together, which can be seperated by simply lifting them apart. The ribbon cable has a defect in that the plasic insulation is defective, causing the leads between the two ribbons to cross, or short circuit. Simply place a thin sheet of paper between them, and make sure you push the paper down all of the way to the plastic housing, fold over the edges around the cable, you are done.

I have a double oven GE Profile. The error message FO appeared. I shut off the circuit breaker for 30 minutes or more and the oven works but without warning FO reappears. FO message means there is short in the clear Off touch button. The only solution replace the complete panel. My cost delivered $328. Ouch!

If possible i will need the letter that come next after the JKP15.

I have helped over 1600 folks solve the F7 problem. The problem is usually with the touchpanel and not the ERC. My fix tells how to determine which part is faulty. Hopefully you will not need to purchase a new touchpanel, however, if you do, an internet search will lead you to lower cost sources.

The F7 represents a shorted matrix or start key. To determine whether it's the key panel or control itself, disconnect the ribbon cable of the key panel that goes to the control and power the oven up. If the F7 does not come back, it's the key panel, if it comes back, it's the control..
