The volume is all the way to high and when we playback there is no volume on the video at all
I was recording, then i was doing a playback then all of a sudden the sound stopped. It will record but no sound..... I tried reseting it thinking i accidently pushed a buttin but nothing.... What now?
I have a sony trv14e it was working fine yesterday on playback with sound my children pressed something and suddenly theres no sound on playback. Please help if you know how to restore the sound. Thankyou

On the lcd screen, touch "P-Menu, then touch "volume" and use the up/down arrows to adjust...if it isn't there, use the menu button and choose the "standard set"option. Use the +/- buttons and then choose "ok".---Rick
If your Sony DCR-HC14E shows fine picture in playback of old tapes and does not give live view in camera mode to record then its CDD Imager problem that Sony will repair free of cost. Click Sony CCD Imager Support for details.
if you have the setting to avi it will not show up, you will get sound but know pic just a black screen, try the dvd setting and the the other dv setting.
I also have a SONY 460x Handycam Vision CCD-TRV68 NTSC video Hi8 Steady Shot not able to record a picture but will record audio, playback is the same. Unfortunatly this occured after warranty was out. Seems like this might have been a manufactors defect.
On my handycam you have to hit the Volume + button while playing back. Everytime you playback it starts volume at zero and you have to volume up to hear anytime you playback.
