I have the Toshiba Theaterview. Was watching it when I heard a sound and the screen went black. The Red Light will come on and glow steady and you hear it click when you try to turn it on or off but...

Something is causing the TV shut down or go in to 'protect' mode.
It is unusual to actually hear a component inside the TV go bad, but you obviously did. Probably in the main power supply or something that normally uses a higher voltage in the TV since you heard it..

When stopped at a red light my car shut off

this may have been caused by the alternator not putting out proper voltage. have car scanned and find the codes. if power is lost to pcm and other sensors the vehicle will die out. after the problem is fixed, turn off check engine light with scanner. good luck carl, check alternator voltage. car off should be at least 13 volts, when running should be 14 to 14.5.

CAR WON'T STAY RUNNING

when key on and engine off, does the security light flash constantly? if so its shutting down the fuel pump, it starts momentarily due to the computer priming the engine with fuel. how to reset, turn key to run position, leave it on touch nothing, takes 10-12 minutes, start watching light around 10 minutes. it will stop flashing... turn key off, then back on and start this will reset the security system. they are sensitive on this platform car it will happen again. good luck!

Dead sharp pc-ax40

You can try reseating the memory and the hard drive if you can get to it, but it sure sounds as though the motherboard is shot.
You can take it to your local computer repair shop.
Good Luck.

TV wont turn on, makes buzzing noise and shuts off

I have two RCA HD52W59 TV's. I have had one for 3 years and one 4 years. The one I have had for 4 years is giving me the problem. Last week the tv turned off while watching it. It wouldnt come right back on. 10 minutes later we tried and it worked fine. the other night the kids were watching and it turned off and smelled like something burning. I tried turning it right back on and got no power at all. I tried to turn it on two days later and it made a buzzing noise and the green light went out. Never did get a picture, no powering up on the screen. Any ideas? Don't want to spend alot of money. Really loved the TV hope it isnt junk now. Better yet I hope the same thing doesnt happen to the other one I have.

Hitachi 51F510 with NO POWER

Something is preventing the power supply from operating:
Possible causes in order of likelihood:
1) Convergence amps failed overloading the supply (See if you can disconnect them)
2) High Voltage circuit has died. (Right on schedule since your TV is 10 years old)
3) One of the CRTs has shorted
4) The power supply itself has died (Is there a lot of dust covering it?)
See if you can isolate the failure by working down the list.
Hope Ya Fix it!
