The picture goes out on our TV. The sound stays on and if we turn the TV off and wait a few minutes, the picture will sometimes come back on. The TV can be on for a few minutes or hours before it suddenly turns off.

Aquos has the same problem. I'm not sure how I discovered this, but
when I lean the TV forward and hit the power button it will turn on
every time. If the screen blacks out and I don't lean it forward when I
hit the power button, the screen will just remain blank. It is very
weird, but at least repeatable.
- Thank you, Guest. That did it. It definitely seems to be a problem with the TV. Tilting it and hitting the power button helped me get the video back.

I turn the TV on. It says please wait and then the screen goes blank (dark) There is volume but no picture. I won it as a prize, so I have no warrenty. What do i do?

I have the same problem. When I turn the tv on, tv says "Please Wait" and then the screen goes black. It used to just do it at start up, now the picture goes black whenever it feels like it.
I have the same problem...sometimes the "Please Wait" text goes on for a second and shuts off..now the picture comes on for 5-10 seconds and goes black, but the sound stays on. I've switched cables. inputs, etc., so it seems like it might be a video issue.

i have the same problem. i turn the TV on, it shoes a picture for a few seconds, then blacks out and only sound can be heard. it does this every time i turn the TV on, even if i switch it off for a few minutes, it never stays on more than a few seconds!
