HI! As a first course of action please unplug the printer from power source and press hold the power button for 15secs. to reset the system. After 15secs. plug the printer to power source, turn it on and see how it goes. This can resolve the problem. Hope this helps and thank you for using FixYa!
Hello,
First, I would recommend that you connect the Xante Accel-a-Writer to a Windows OS computer (xp/vista). Observe if it will function perfectly. This will determine whether you are doing something wrong or if the problem is from the Xante Accel-a-Writer or if they don't support each other.
You can test the Xante Accel-a-Writer on a friends windows OS computer if you don't have one.
Let me know the out come so that I can direct you further.
Good luck.

Xante is telling me that mac OSX 10.6 WILL support the AW4g, just has to be configured right, plus we use it in connection with Adobe Illustrator/Photoshop/CS4...we used the AW4g on our G5, but it died so we purchased the macmini. Please try again? - Laura

Trying to get xante AW4g to communicate w/macmini (OSX 10.6-no appletalk), but does not respond, control panel on printer says "initializing" continuously...have set up the xante as an LDP on the macmini and input the AW4g's IP address; the mac seems to recognize the printer, but the printer doesn't recognize the mac? Can only use the control panel on the xante printer when it is disconnected from the mac. USB connection between the two. What's wrong?
There isn't a power button but a power switch - tried this. When I try to print it tells me "network host is busy, will try again..." Any other ideas?
My xante Accel-a-Writer printer is not communicating with my macmini - when I try to print, it tells me "network host is busy, will try again..." the xante is set up as an LDP; its IP address shows up in my mac and the mac seems to recognize it (shows up as the default printer, shows correct drivers, gives me the xante advanced print options,etc.). What do I need to do? Xante assures me it WILL work with my OSX if I set it up manually.
