Hi, i tried to install a lexmark x1130 all in one printer on my laptop which was upgraded from windows xp to vista 64 bits. i downloaded the printer driver from the internet and installed it on my system but i keep getting a message box telling me some components of the drivers is missing. i have tried downloading from almost every source i've come across but still get the same message. more so, after installation my system show me the device is ready to print but when i try printing it just gives me blanks sheets.(the ink cartridges are new). i would please appreciate a quick response from you. thanks

You need to check and make sure it's on the HCL list ok

I suggest you uninstal the printer. If the printer is listed in the Vista printer menu it would be best to use that for installation. Alternatively simply connecting the printer should produce a found new hardware wizard which is best left, in the absence of a disc, to search for it's own driver.

I have a sneaking suspicion the root of the problem could be your 64 bit Vista. I have heard of problems being caused by an incompatibility between 64 bit operating systems and stuff intended to be used with 32 bit.
It might be a good idea to test the printer by installing it on a 32 bit operating system...
