The word UNLOCK may appear in the display if there is a problem receiving a digital audio signal. Follow the steps below to troubleshoot this issue.

  1. Ensure the correct input is selected to receive the Audio/Video (A/V) from the appropriate source.
  2. Ensure a digital cable is connected to appropriate DIGITAL jack.
  3. Ensure the other end of the digital cable is properly connected to the A/V source.
  4. Ensure the A/V source is set appropriately to output a digital signal.
  5. NOTE: The A/V source may have a DTS setting that needs to be turned on, or a DPCM setting that needs to be set toDolby Digital .

How do i connect my iPod to receiver sony strdg510- there is no aux port in receiver

You can connect it to any one of the input sources on the receiver. It doesn't have to be AUX. For example, you can hook it up to the CD input (#5 below).

The Ipod can be on any input that you have available, just make sure the receiver is set to that input on the front to correspond with whichever one you decide to use. If you have no available inputs to use, go to RadioShack, you will be surprised at the little connectors they have to allow you to split inputs and outputs to use two devices, etc. very inexpensively.

An alternative, disconnect one device to hook up the Ipod to that input when needed.

I'm trying to connect my Sony STD-DG510 Receiver to my karaoke machine but the sound is not coming out the speakers and I'm trying to figure out the problem, I already checked the Connection to the...

You don't say what input on the Sony is connected to which output on the Karaoke machine (what model?).

Assuming you want the Sony to do the playback from your karaoke machine...

Take the K's audio output on an RCA cable pair to any of the Sony's available analog inputs, for example one of the connectors labeled: CD, TV or SAT. My guess is SAT is unused in 90% of homes.

Select the appropriate source on the Receiver and rock on. You could even play with some of the DSP surround simulation modes to hear the K through all of your speakers.

Sony STR-DG510 From component to HDMI

You have to use the same connection in and out. You can not mix inputs and outputs (Example- HDMI IN will not play on Component out and Vice Versa.)

No analog audio out for digital inputs

The easiest way is to connect to one of the tape out jacks. These should be live for all inputs.

No video output using either HDMI or component video

Make sure that these inputs are enabled. I'd have to confirm within the manual, but I believe that these have the HDMI section disabled by default.
