There is some maintenance that goes along with the unit. Leaving the door open and drying the gasket. Make sure you are using a HE branded detergent and don't use too much fabric softener. If you use affresh, www.affresh.com . it will help the maintain the unit as well.
Lg does have a service bulletin out now that will help with this. The front of the tub has to be changed, the gasket and the bottom counter weight. The new gasket will have a drain hose
go to this link, http://aic.lgservice.com/gcsc/svb/main?tc=SvbPrintCmd&DOC_ID=KRSVB000051409
go down and you will see a file ending in .ppt it is a powerpoint file and it will have the part numbers pictures etc.

Hello friend, thanks for your post!
I understand that you have a mold smell developing inside of your Frigidaire washer. I would normally recommend using a clean wash cycle with either one cup of bleach or one pouch of Tide Washing Machine Cleaner. If you do not have a clean wash cycle on your washer you could also use hot water and a regular cycle with a cup of bleach to clean out your washer.
You should also check over your gasket to assure there is no mold buildup, if you do locate mold inside of your gasket you can use bleach to help get rid of any residue. I hope this information is helpful. -Matt
Hi
Try using bleach with hot water, run a cycle with hot water and bleach. Or spray bleach +water mixture on the seal. Run a cleaning cycle with hot water and bleach or vinegar at least once a month to reduce the growth of mold in other parts of the washer. You can also try using 1/2 a cup of Washing Soda or 4 cups of baking soda Crystals and run the machine with no clothes in it. This would remove all the debris, lint & mold growth from the drain pump and drain filter. This would clean the mold from the door seal as well. Hope this helps... Please post back if you need more information.
