When i print pictures, the pictures print shuters and i dont know how to fix it

  1. Check the ink cartrige or toner cassette, because the problem could be caused by lack of toner or ink.
  2. If your printer is InkJet - some of the color cartrige's nozzle could be clogged. You can choose to buy new one or to put the cartrige in warm watter to unclog the nozzle, but you have to be careful.
  3. Try to change DPI and check if there is a difference between the copies.
Good luck!

Changed toner---back side now prints dirty with band on the top. Did the cleaning procedure - no luck

If you changed toner because old was empty and now you have this defect with the new cartrige, it is most likley a defective cartridge. Try the old cartridge again, if it prints clean, then you know for sure it is the cartridge. If you purchased a new HP cartridge, get it replaced by HP, they warranty their toners against defects. If you bought a 3rd party toner, return it to where you bought it and get them to replace it. If you had your old toner refilled by someone, get your money back, they don't know what they are doing. This type of defect is often caused by a filled waste toner bin then then runs back out when you print. Some refillers just throw toner in and don't empty the waste toner bin.

Hp 2605dn Black cartridge is printing 1/8" LEFT of other colors.

That problem is frequently on HP 2600 series.
You must try to change all remanufactured toner cartridges with HP OEM with no exception, the best alignment it is when you change the black cartridge and the printer make a cleaning page process. Cartridge HP OEM should be almoust empty. It Is not necesarry to be a new one. After the alignment process, you can put the remanufacturated cartridges back on.

My hp 1200 printer is not printing dark enough. this problem just started/ I can barely read the print. MY hp 1200 printer is not printing dark enough I installed a new toner cartage but it still does the...

If you have installed the toner cartridge correctly then it is a hardware problem called the Fuser and is the most common problem with printers...the fuser is a part of the printer which actually melts the toner onto the paper. The fuser has to get up to a high enough temperature to be able to melt the toner, if it is malfunctioning then it cannot give you a dark print. You may search google for Fuser information: Recommendation is change out fuser to repair problem. Pls rate this solution.

Fairly new toner and display reads "Install black cardtricge"

I have just resolved the "Install black cartrige" issue on my printer I am not sure if it will solve everyone's problem but these are the steps I took to solve the problem.

1. removed the black cartrige.
2. removed all the paper from the tray and noticed that one of the pages was a little jammed.
3. I then turned the printer on and off again and still encountered the "Install black cartrige" error message.
4. I then put the black cartrige back in the the printer and restarted the printer.
5. When the printer restarted it started to initialize correctly and I perform some test prints to confirm that it was back up and running.

Laser jet produces printouts that are smudged and dark

Remove the toner cartridge and use a soft cloth to wipe the photo drum clean of toner. Put it back and try again, if you still get bad prints, then you need a new toner cartridge.

Hp laserjet4 plus. smears the paper with new toner.

My sentiments exactly...although you may try shaking it vigorously left to right 5 times, then up and down twice. This sequence has proven extremely effective for me.

Printer is dark

Go to Start > printers and faxes> right click on the laserjet4 icon>
properties > click on printing preferences on the first page > click advance on the next page > under Graphics, you will see print quality. Change it to either 600x600 or 1200x1200. The higher the number, the darker the print.
If I could be of further assistance, let me know. If this helps or solves the issue, please rate it.
Thanks, Joe
