I bought a used BELRTONICS Express 795. Does anyone know where or how i can get a manual for it. I do not know how to set it up, or what the different beeps mean. I thought i got a great deal untill I seen I don't know how to use it correctly. LOL but not funny. Thank You Very Much Mary Frances

Entering Selectable Features Mode
1. With the unit OFF, press and hold the CITY button then press
the PWR/VOL button. The amber X LED will illuminate and a short
“beep” will sound.
2. Immediately after the “beep”, digit #1 will appear and indicate
the status of the sws™ Selectable Feature. To select digit #2 (VG-2
Guard®), press the CITY button again. To select digit #3 (sws™
Voice), press the CITY button a third time and to select digit #4
(Digital Voice prompts for Radar/Laser/VG-2 Guard®) press the
CITY button once again. Use the CITY button to select one of the
four digits.
3. If the selected digit is solid, feature is ON, but may be canceled
by pressing the AUDIO button. Two “beeps” and the flashing digit
will confirm feature is OFF.
4. If the selected digit is flashing, the feature is OFF, but may be
activated by pressing the AUDIO button. A single “beep” and
solid illumination will confirm the feature is ON.
5. Press the PWR/VOL button to retain your new settings for Selectable
Features. Two “beeps” will confirm that you have exited from
Selectable Features Mode and your unit will be ON.

I know this sounds silly but check and see if you set it to mute. Most detectors have this option either in the set up sequence or by pushing the volume button down.

I should have mentioned if none of the suggestions work you may have a burned out speaker. The heat generated by the windshield dries the speakers out. I have had two speakers replaced in my Whistler 78 Pro in the last 5 or 6 years.

Not much help here, just to say that my U 795 SW came with a multi-language manual (incl English).
