Your monitor had a problem send it to service center to fix it
Try to turn off the laptop and remove the battery and cables on it. Then press and hold the power button for 8secs. Then reinsert the cables and battey on the laptop. Then turn on the laptop, if the screen does not turn on but the power button is screen, there is a problem with your monitor itself. You may contact HP to replace your screen since it does not display anything on the screen.
If you shine a flashlight at the screen and look it from an angle and can see your displayed screen faintly then the inverter board is bad and it needs to be replaced.
You can hook up an external monitor to your laptop in the meantime to use your system.
There is also the posibility your screen is no good. I'm thinking it will be the inverter board though.
