Hi I have a Technics SL-350 Turntable System that I bought at a tag sale today. It turns on properly, spins, and you can even slightly hear the sound of the music while it's spinning. However, there is a red and a white audio output wires that I don't know what to do with, or what kind of speakers to connect it to. I tried connecting it to an Ipod dock that I have (not Apple brand) but it didn't work. Do you have any suggestions? Help would be greatly appreciated! Thank you for listening

Target light won't turn off

Your wires are crossed. You'll have to switch them out. Make sure when you put the wires back together, that they are covered properly with either electrical tape, or heat shrink tube. If any part of the wire is exposed and it touches the cabinet, it will ground/short out your turntable, and you'll have an even bigger and more expensive issue to fix.

Turntable wont spin

If everything seems ok with the power , there is usally a small microswitch that sends power to the motor when the tone arm is moved to the start of the record.
The switch might be bad or the lever that actuates it (connected to the tone arm) might be sticking. You may have to take the bottom cover off or remove the platter to see it.
Also make sure the belt is looped over the motor shaft. If the motor runs but the belt still doesnt turn, belt might be bad.

Technics SL 1600Mk2 turntable works, but turns off seconds later

The SL1600MK2 is a direct drive turntable. Meaning that there are multiple electronic components which make it turn. With that said, the only place you can start is the main circuit board. Unfortunately, this will not be an easy diagnosis without the proper testing tools - multimeter, and a scope to get you started.

Otherwise, you'll have to take it to a service technican for repair.

Unfortunately, all parts for this model are discontinued, so if it's something that is specific to this unit, it will be very hard to source parts.

I need to put new turntable belt on a Technics SL-B200

The belt goes underneath the turntable platter. First you attach to the lip on the bottom of the turntable platter, then you put the platter on the turntable. You'll see some holes on the platter, after you put it on, just rotate the platter, until you see the motor shaft, then pinch the belt around the motor shaft.
