DXG-506V LCD comes on Blank White Screen

Hi,
I've had the DXG-506V for just over a year and have taken several hundred pictures with it... I've also used the USB connection to print photos on through my computer. When the camera is not in use it sits in its box on my computer desk. I used it two weeks ago and everything operated fine, but today I turned it on to take a photo of my dogs and the LCD Screen comes up as a blank white screen. Even though the green power light came on as usual, I decided to replace the batteries with a brand new set of duracells. With fresh batteries, it still shows a white screen... camera is set to photo, lens cap is removed, none of the buttons seem to be stuck, and nothing happens when I press the menu or scroll buttons either, HELP!!!!

I had the same problem ...I bought a new 2 GB SD card put it in the camera and it worked fine.

It may have had something to do with formatting ..I tried to format the other card wiyh my computer when the video camera would stay on.
I tried to reset the camera that didn't work either.
The new SD Card did work.

Hi
You have to install the drivers for your Camera, before you can doanload, view or copy the stored pictures or videos in your PC. Here are steps in sequece to follow

1- Use the CD which came with your camera and install the drivers. If you do not have the CD, you may be able to download them from the website of your Camera manufacturer.

2- After installing the drivers, Connect your camera to your PC, select play and turn your camera on.

3- Follow the screen untill your PC finishes installing the drivers and say it is ready

4- Now click start, then computer. If the drivers are installed correctely, you would see an icon with all of part of DXG Technology DXG-506V. Double click on that icon. You would see one or more folders with your stored pictures and videos.

You can view, download, delete or copy any of the saved pictures or videos.

I know this sounds painfully obvious, but I've done it before. Have you taken your lense cap off? Sorry if that's not it.

Philips LCD model 26TA1000, vertical lines and blank white screen with no picture

it would be easier to find it stripped from a damaged set on ebay.
I see several there but need the part number to search
of course you may purchase that and find it to be the lcd driver.hopefully not.
