We can get analogue tv and foxtel chanels but we have lost all digital tv chanels. We have run a full scan but nothing happens

Usually you have to go to chanel setup and scroll down to DTV setup up or DTV auto tuning and click on the remotes enter button and choose to scan for the Digital channels (DTV) Then tell your boyfriend that they don't broadcast in analogue anymore.

I am having this problem and It is happening on 2 different brand tv's. I have had Foxtel on both tv's for years and never had a problem until I moved, I got the Foxtel reconnected at my new address and it started. I have IQ on 1 tv and standard digital on the other. If anyone could help that would be great.

If using a box unplug it and the set for a while--plug back to let the units reboot and see if it helps or not.

Also a simple test is to see if signal when a DVD etc is connected via the rear audio and video inputs if the set has that.

Go to menu setting,Set it to auto scan chanel.

If your TV is an older variety that wasnt set up for digital signal you will need a set top converter box.

If you were to log on to the manufacturer's web site, I think you will be pleasantly surprised as usually one is able to download, by model number, Customer Instruction Manuals, list of Dealers, for spare parts and service and Installation Instructions as required.

Just Google the manufacturer's name and follow the links. Make certain you are directed to the manufacturer's web site as some search engines direct you to other sites and they charge for the information that is normally free of charge.

Were they analog channels? They switched to digital channels....

Try resetting the TV:

1. Switch on TV and switch to any analogue channel.
2. On the TV: Press and hold the MENU button.
3. Menu screen will appear on the display.
4. Do not release the MENU until the menu screen disappears.
5. TV will go blank for about 60 seconds and then display initial set up screen.
6. Follow the on-screen prompts to re-tune the TV.

If this does not work then the problem is likely to be a loose ribbon cable or main small signals board inside the TV.
