  • Press the "Menu" button on the handset. This button is also the "Star" (*) button.

  • Press the right "Volume" button to browse through the menu. When the display shows "Setup HS," press the "Menu" button again.
  • Press the right "Volume" button until you see "Ring Volume." Press the "Menu" button to enter the ringer menu.
  • Press the left and righ "Volume" button to turn up or down the ringer volume. The default volume level is "L3." Press the "Menu" button to save your change.

    I am trying to keep the ringer volume at level 5 of my ge 25942 cordless phone, but it keeps defaulting back to level 4?+++
    According to the owner's manual, this is a programmed "feature" of the phone. Evidentally, GE believes level 4 is better than level 5 and won't allow it to stay there.
