Psp hello there i have a psp and anytime i try to turn it on the screen stays black and the green light comes on for a few seconds then goes back off wat should i do ...please and thank you

What happens when you turn the PSP on?
Green light come son for a few seconds then goes off?
Or no green light at all?

It seems that your PSP is bricked. A firmware issue. Have you tried replacing the memory card and test if it solves the issue?

It's bricked. What that means is that the system software has been corrupted. The most common reason for this is if someone turns the PSP off in the middle of a system update. It can be fixed, but it requires special equipment which costs about $40 if you can find it online. The following website can rebuild the system software for you for $30. They also do other PSP repairs -- you can send them both and they will check them out for you! No charge for an estimate!

This sounds like you have "bricked" your psp... there are a few things that can cause this: first would be that you have bricked it trying to install Custom Firmware, another would be that the battery died or it was shut off during an update. You can buy what is called a Pandora Battery and a "magic" memory stick which will reset your PSPs firmware to the original 1.5, or if you still have warranty you can send it in to Sony to get fixed. Pandora batteries and Magic Memory Sticks are sold in a package for about $10-15 on the internet. Good Luck, hope you fix it.

Hi first i will say sorry for that. I will recommend that you see a certified technician to fix it up, there are a few things i guess are wrong with your psp... the system of psp are fragile and should be handled with care because i think one or more parts are broken and need replacement. Cheers

After being on a little while, the screen goes black (no audio as well) for 20 to 30 seconds. Green light stays on. Then, picture comes back on and takes a couple of seconds to get up to full brightness. About 5 seconds or so after the video comes back, the audio returns.

Until this morning, has only happened a couple of times a day, now happening more often. About 3 times in last 20 minutes.

KDF-E55A20 is about 3 years old.

i think your PSP is bricked... try to have it unbricked...
