I have Ropio Easy media Creator 9 installed and have been using it with no problems for almost a year. A few days ago I got an error message saying that "PhotoSuite 9 has encountered a problem and needs to close". After trawling the net in search of an answer I shut down all background programs and tried a repair but the same thing happened again. I tried a complete uninstall and reinstall but still the same problem. So far I've tried both options about 3 or 4 times each with no luck.

Try uninstalling Roxio and the Sonic drives and run Fixit. Then reboot and install Roxio first then the Sonic driver.
If this doesn't work uninstall again as previously, install Roxio and check the CD/DVD if necessary run Fixit then install Sonic driver.
uninstall it or if you cant start your computer reload windows from disc. media creator may be too "big" for your system. pentium 4 min.required,i should think no easy way out if its crashing your computer
This whole error code is a pal around back scratch between Roxio and Windows. To get rid of the "error message" which they created, you have to pay $70.00 for their crapp- axx software that is not even very good in the first place, Too bad Apple is not such junk and expensive, or I would change over. Thanks for really sticking it to us Microsoft!!!

Probably because it was used on another install I bet. Contact support at Nero and tell them that your key was no good. See if they can give you a new one.
