Kindly set the BIOS on start up. You may have disabled the USB. If the matter persists then check the drivers in the device manager if they are correctly installed. Or if the problem is your Operating System then have it updated by installing online updates. This would install necessary drivers. If the problem still persists then, look for a computer technician to check your laptop.
To reset the BIOS password read the information from this link.
In case of your Lenovo laptop the easiest method would be using software from Hiren's Boot CD as it's pretty hard to open it up and reach for the CMOS battery or the jumper.
You can power drain the pc if the bios won't update.. Turn off the pc then unplug cables from the desktop or laptop then remove the battery (only on laptop) , then press and hold the power button for 5 seconds.
Then replug all cables and batteries. Then turn on the pc and check the Bios if it updates.

There is NO real reason why you cannot reflash your bios back to the way it was.... You simply need to find out what type your, bios is... and there are many programs that will address your BIOS and re-flash it. This is unless your BIOS is so broken that the machine will NOT even read a DVD memory stick or driver at all. What happens if you try again?
