F_morales41, before you installed the new Harddrive, did you,
1) Install the Operating System disk?
2) Install a fresh (New) genuine copy of Windows?
The Harddrive has your Operating System on it. (Windows XP, Windows Vista, and Windows 7 are examples of an O/S)
You can't just put a new Harddrive in. It is blank.
This is why you can't remove the Harddrive, and expect the laptop to work, also.
Put the new HDD in, power up the laptop, install the Operating System CD disk in the optical drive, (CD/DVD drive)
After the Operating System has been installed, (Software completely loaded), put the Drivers and Utility's disk in. Load it.
Two beeps usually means the memory module went bad.
Replace it and you should be ok
Good Luck.
