No problem when the spacer fell to the bottom. You can tilt the machine to get it out from underneath but normally there should be no problem

F7 on my hot point. Washing machine

This error code indicates that the motor is having difficulty turning.
Are the shipping bolts removed?
All four (4) shipping bolts and the plastic spacers must be removed from the rear of the washer before you operate it. Each unit is shipped from the factory with four bolts, which are designed to secure the washer during shipping. Failure to remove all of the shipping bolts, and the four plastic spacers that are with them, can result in noise, vibration or error codes. See the Installation Instructions for details; find them by entering your model number in the search tool below.
Were you washing a very large load?
The washer may be overloaded for the cycle you are running. Remove a few items from the load. See the Cycle Guide in the Use and Care guide for loading suggestions for each cycle.
To remove the error display, press Power once. Then press Power again to restart the washer.
If pressing Power does not work:
  1. Unplug the washer or disconnect the power for one minute.
  2. Plug in the washer or reconnect the power.
  3. Re-select the cycle and press Start.

FOUR BOLTS AND RUBBER WASHER ON BACK OF WASHING MACHINE DO THEY NEED TO BE REMOVED BEFORE OPERATION

Hi Jamie, thank you for your inquiry! It seems like you are referring to the shipping material. This consists of 4 shipping bolts, 4 spacers, 1 metal "P" clamp, and 2 hose clips. Yes, according to the installation manual for the model number posted above, GLTF2940ES, this material must be removed. I have attached the Installation Instructions on how to do so. I hope this information helps to some degree. If you have further questions, please do not hesitate to reconnect.

Just hooked up yesterday. Have done 3 loads. Machine shakes vigorously, moving about 2 feet. What is the problem?

Hello,

It sounds like perhaps the shipping bolts are still in the machine. Look at the back you'll see 4 large bolts that must be removed to release the main tub assembly from the cabinet.

Refer to your owners manual and it should give you an illustration of where they are located.

Also make sure all four leveling legs are secured with the locking nut against the cabinet once it has been leveled.

Hope that helps,

Good Luck :)

Front loader shakes bad, is level, and on a concrete floor

You will have harmonic inbalance about 800 rpm on most front load machines, causing them to shake termporarily as it ramps up on the spin cycle. Be sure to check if the shipping bolts have been removed. This is the most common mistake most people make while installing front load machines. If you don't remove the shipping bolts, it will cause most machines to shake violently and can cause damage.

How to fix excessive vibration during spine cycle?

if your machine is new, and you self installed it, you forgot to remove the shipping bolt, for front load-check the back there are four long screw sometime three depending on the brand , for top load tilt ur unit take a look on the bottom- in the middle again depending on the brand they use a single bolt to hold the tub during transporting- remove it, slide out the spacer it will be ok. now if your unit is some years back already you have your problem with its transmission or gearcase for top loader-quite difficult to fix it sir, or suspension mechanism and bearing on front loader sir- u have to replace it or call a qualified service tech - happy washing soon sir
