Hi my 50in plasma tv has a recurring problem while watching sky tv it will loose the picture, screen goes black ext number comes up top left corner then pic come back does this a few times in succession. doesn't happen when watching dvd's tho. is this a problem with the tv or my sky box hope u can help thanx

You could have a Driver Board that has a loose connection or a Ribbon Cable that has a intermittent connection to the Plasma Panel, or a defective Plasma Panel. Either one could cause the problem and I would recommend only a Qualified Service Person to check it out.

as you say that u purchased new tv so it must be in warrenty period u hav eno need to do any experiment on it because shopkeepar can say done a mistake . so just make a call to the shopkeepar it will defenetaly solve your problem.

Did you check the cable connections? They may have become loose or have obtained some dust. I would suggest to disconnect the cables and reconnecting them. The cables could have also malfuntioned.
