If you can boot the Acer, you may be able to reset the please i have a bios password on my acer - messagebox_info.png BIOS password using Acer eSettings Management.

  • Click the Start button
  • Click the All Programs menu item
  • Click the Empowering Technology menu item
  • Click the Acer eSettings Management menu item
  • Once inside Acer eSettings Management, click the Security button.

02 you can try to reset the BIOS password via hardware. such as battery. you can remove your battery and insert it it will remove

03 if you have recovery disc you can recover your laptop as factory setting

They can both generate a bios master password unique to your laptop that will delete all bios password giving you complete control to your bios setup. Acer Support will charge you $100+ while Unlockbiosrecovery.com on charges $20 and they guarantee their service. I use them often and they have always worked.

I know some methods to reset bios password.

1. The best and easiest method: Close OS and shut down the electricity power of computer. Open your computer box, take out the cmos battery from the mainboard. Then the bios password will be reset to blank. Put it back after a few minutes.

ACER default password for Bios
Hi,

By default Acer wont enter any BIOS password however, if you have forgot BIOS password then you have to reset CMOS jumper setting. Please follow the below steps: Open the Laptop back panel. Locate the CMOS battrey, remove it & then with the help of a screw driver keep on pressing the terminal inside it and turn ON the computer for 10 secs and Turn Off (make sure you keep on pressing the terminal with a screwdriver while turning ON). It will short the BIOS setting. Now, fix the CMOS battrey & restart the computer. This will take care of the issue.

Bios password reset
The only way to reset a bios password is to locate either the cmos battery on the motherboard which can be difficult or locate pins CLRCMOS, JBAT1 or similair and short the pins.
