recently worked on my psp and fixed the wi-fi switch only to put it back together turn it on and hear it start up with the screen not working. tried using my newer psps screen but it doesnt work neither. HOWEVER.. if iput the new psp's motherboard into my old psp the screens work perfectly( but the new mother board has no custom firmware and the charge peice is broke off) that was last night.
i hope that i can get the screen to work with my old motherboard or else i will have to get ahold of an older psp again( preferebly one that has a problem with buttons or cracked screen so i can get it easily)
to hear that i would have to get a new mother board is easy but it kan be hard to get ahold of one that has a low enough firm ware so i can put kustom firmware on itrecently worked on my psp and fixed the wi-fi switch only to put it back together turn it on and hear it start up with the screen not working. tried using my newer psps screen but it doesnt work neither. I recommend seeing an expert. I heard that to replace the internal screen only costs about 20 dollars if you do it yourself. You should look into buying a new screen(internal) but about the leaking LED's you should really try to see an expert or get some support from Sony.
You might have a brick psp, you need to reflashing your psp.. If you have Custom firmware installed e.g. M33, you can try this first;
try to boot your psp to recovery menu, ( hold R-trigger when turn on your psp), you should see M33 recovery menu, then select "advance" then "Format flash1 and reset setting", if it does not work you need pandora battery for unbricking your psp. or you may consider to sending it back to Sony for repair.You can call SONY support at 1-800-345-7669.
Hopefully this help.! Pls post back should you need additional information, and also Show your Appreciation, to help other USER.
Take the game back to the store.Then tell them that the screen is not working.But you still hear the going.Then take the psp out and show them what you are taking about.
this is a common problem, sony could help with this but its alot of hassle, call them anyway. if you have the receipt you can return to place of purchase. this is a glitched psp. you prpbably tried upgrading and then this happen or it just happened
"tap" not hit.. the back of the psp, (where the game goes in on the back) and see if that works.. that will usually get the laser to read the disk.. perhaps the umd is dirty.. only tap on it "lightly" when you hear it loading.. i know that sounds stupid, but it worked for me countless of times.
Can you go to "Recovery Mode"..? >> Hold R(right) button while turn on ur psp. if yes, You need the Pandora's battery to downgrade psp back to 1.50, its will clear a bug in flash1 on psp.
me too wen i hit in in the back or turn it on
or press the right arrow hard
