Your USB port must be repaired. In the meantime, hopefully, your computer has another USB port that you can use. Battery is a replaceable lithium ion rechargeable battery. There are battery chargers that you can connect to wall outlets - the type that plug into the computer would probably require that you plug it into the USB port, which you said is broken - so that's a no-go. There are multiple vendors for battery chargers - one possibility is http://www.greenbatteries.com/

SANSA FUZE CHARGER

The Fuze charges through its USB connector. You can plug it into a powered USB port on a computer or a USB charger plugged into a wall outlet. You may already have one of these for your cell phone.
If you need a connector cable, you may order one here. One AC adapter is here.

Where do i get a charger for this i can't find the charge can i buy one at a store like walmart or do i have to buy it on the internet.

You can use any AC-to-USB charger. For my Sansa, I use one that came with a cell phone.

Alternatively, you can plug the Sansa into a computer's powered USB port.

It was kept idle for 4 months.when power button is pressd the screen shows "battery is too low system shut down".when charging is tried through PC USB port there is no proper charging

Not all computer USB ports put out enough current to charge batteries. If you have another USB port on your computer, try that. Try another computer. If that doesn't work, try an AC-to-USB charger, as you might find for cell phones.

My sansa mp3 will not charge on my computer it just drains the battery instead. I have tried rebooting my computer but it still will not charge.....help I miss my music !!

Not all computer USB ports put out enough current to charge the battery. If you're plugging the Sansa into a USB hub, try plugging it in directly. If there's another USB port available, try that.

If that doesn't work, you may have to get a separate USB charger, as used for some cell phones.

Also, bear in mind that when the Sansa is connected to a computer, you can't listen to your music on it.

SanDisk Sansa e260 (4 GB) MP3 Player MP3 and Digital Media i have a e260 sansa mp3. when i plug it into my Answer i have a e260 sansa mp3. when i plug it into my computer it wont charge what should i do

There is a trick to charging the battery in these small mp3 players. It wont charge if it is turned on, and it won't charges if it's turned off. Here what to do...
1. plug the payer into your USB port. or wall charger
2. switch thje palyer on using the mechanical switch (on the side)
3. turn it off by either holding down the play button, or selecting "System" from the menu
4. The screen will go black and the battery will begin charging.

My mp3 will not charge

Eh, probably keep the needles well stowed in the future, and a silicone plug (if you have some spare all-silicone caulk...) in the port at the Sansa's base. You can of course repair or replace the socket; the easiest way is to find the wiring correspondence on the charger cable to the USB port (using a DVM in continuity test mode...and needles, but little force) and concentrate on restoring the position of those contacts so it recharges, epoxying things into place.
Try posting a (link to a) photo of the port, if that's easy for you.

Using a charger for the battery that has you unscrewing it often sounds unsettling, but of course you can. Interstate Battery and such can probably let you on to what they use (it's probably what I see on eBay for $40ish when I search for Li Polymer battery charger .
The low-cost way is to look at the charger descriptions at linear.com (e.g. http://www.linear.com/pc/productDetail.jsp?navId=H0,C1,C1003,C1037,C1078,P9551 or http://para.maxim-ic.com/search.mvp?fam=batt_chrg&hs=1 ) and buy that or a similar product and support components from an components vendor like Jameco.com or Electronics Goldmine, or a local store that has those things, building it to plug onto a spare USB header or port on a computer. You just want to match the charger type to the battery chemistry (LiMH or Li____ will be on the battery as a hint) and rely on the chip to handle all the charging current the smallish battery can take on.

My mp3 player port

Ohhh - you broke the port on the mp3 player itself - must be replaced - cannot be repaired for less than the cost of a new Mp3 player.

The battery can also be charged using an AC adapter (not included) or a car
adapter (not included) and you will be able to play your device while
charging with one of the adapters. The battery will reach approximately 70%
charge in 2.5 hours and full charge in about 3.5 hours.

My Mp3 player cant charge

No - I know you may rate me poorly for this. But there is definitely not a wireless charger for this - i'm not guessing - it's a fact.
