My philips 32 inch tv is acting like it is possesed. It turns on by itself and then when I am watching it, it goes through the source mode and flips through Av 1,2,3 HDMI, and Side AV. What can I do? Thanks for your input!

The tack switch is already corroded try to use a contact cleaner or replace it. it has already a resistance.

Go to service mode and there should be an option to flip the picture, not sure why this should happen when selecting reset as its more common when replacing the main board

I have a Philips 42" LED flat screen about 5 years old, all of a sudden when you turn it on I get the settings menu, when I try to click out it will bring up the picture and then within seconds it...

Tv have a shorted IC that control the manual control board side of the tv itself or the manual control board itself it is dead.Tries websites like Shopjimmy.com,Ebay.com to buy a refurbish manual control board.Replace the manual tv control board first to test it out.If u still have the same result the IC that control the board itself is dead,now must take to the shop for repair.

Phillips lcd 32 inch(PFL-3403) tv picture is going off after 10- to 15 minutes of working since 26.01.2011.

Check whether timer is ON mode or OFF. If it is ON set it to OFF mode.
Check whether sleep after 15 mins is after
set it to NEVER or OFF mode(sleep means if you won't change any channel or iuf you din't did any thing for 10 it will goes to sleep mode..... and again you have to turn it ON)

Screen flips to set-up screen immediately after powering up..

Go to the philips website. Download the current software onto a thumd drive and upgrade your tv. The problemn will go away. Once on the philips website, you will have to input your model number and it will explain how to upgrade your tv

if you have back ground of tv repair, remove back cover but you need tools and tester, check heater line from crt ckt board going to horizontal section.
