Played around with the installation of this with high hopes but little info from the quick start instructions. Hallelujah - I could see my vhs tape on the monitor - but no audio. I think I didn't have the audio plugged in the right sport and will have to experiment some more. I can't see any instructions for saving what I have captured??!! Any suggestions?

Hello,

The unit goes in a spare 5 11/2" drive bay, same type as your DVD player/writer; it is held in place with screws provided.

The audio cable connects to the 'front panel audio pinout' on your motherboard or if it is a plug there should be a backside slot cover provided that has a hole in it. You pass the plug through this hole and plug it into your audio ports, the green hole.

The1394 cable is called Firewire and connects to the firewire pinout on your motherboard.

The USB cable connects to an unused USB pinout on your motherboard.

Do you need a map of your motherboard that shows where these are? They are labeled clearly. If you have never had your hands in a PC to connect things to your motherboard LET ME KNOW and I'll advise you on how to do this safely so you don't damage anything or yourself.

If you have any other questions I didn't cover JUST ASK ME by commenting below and I'll get back to you as soon as I can.

Regards,
Worldvet

I can't work out what size chip to put on my motherboard

Asus list supported CPU's for your P5S-MX SE Mb.
Click on the link below;
http://support.asus.com/cpusupport/cpusupport.aspx?SLanguage=en-us&model=P5S-MX%20SE&product=1&os=17
The further down you go the stronger the CPU.
When looking for the CPU that you want, you'll also need the bios version listed across from that CPU.

The next link will list everything pertaining to your Asus board.
Look to the left for more information like FAQ, supported CPU & Forms.
(For the link below to fulley open, you'll need to choose your operating system from the drop down menu & click Search in order for the driver link to load);
http://support.asus.com/download/download.aspx?modelname=P5S-MX%20SE&SLanguage=en-us
Use the manual to help you. (Download it needed).
BIOS 0306 is the latest revision & supports the newer CPU's.
Pentium Dual Core E2220(2.4GHz,800FSB,L2 1MB,M0).
